Biography

Jerald Douglas Pruett age 75, of Anderson, Missouri passed away on Wednesday ~ February 24, 2010 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

Jerald began his journey on June 29, 1934 in Milam, Tennessee, born to the late Jack Edmond and Hazel Beatrice (LaFlore) Pruett. He married his bride ~ Rochelle Reissinger on December 17, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois and to this union three children were born. Together they raised their family in the Chicago area before moving to Anderson, Missouri fourteen years ago. Jerald proudly served his country in both the United States Navy and United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a mechanic in the auto industry for many years before his retirement. Jerald was a dedicated member and deacon of the Community of Christ Church in Neosho, Missouri. He was also a member of the Pineville/Jane American Legion Post 392 – serving on the honors team. Jerald also belonged to the Heartland Doll Club of Joplin, Missouri and the Choctaw Nation. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family dearly.

Jerald is survived by his loving wife of fifty four years ~ Rochelle Pruett of the home; his loving children ~ Debra Pruett of Anderson, Missouri; Denise Pruett of Rockford, Illinois, and Glenn Pruett of Anderson, Missouri. Twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren along with many other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Jerald.
