Biography

David Josiah Overstreet, age 17, of Pineville, Missouri was called to heaven with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri after a long illness.

Josiah was born in Joplin, Missouri on September 29, 1992 to Glen Dob and Katrina Marie (Browning) Overstreet. He was a lifelong resident of Pineville, Missouri. Josiah enjoyed playing video games, skateboarding, basketball, riding his scooter, hanging out with his sisters and his cat, mumu. He was a member of the Father’s House Church in Pineville, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Kassie Overstreet in January of 1986 and Katille Overstreet on July 12, 2005.

Josiah is survived by his loving parents, Glen and Katrina Overstreet of the home; two sisters, Courtney (Overstreet) Sammons and husband, Paul of Springfield, Missouri, Kelisa (Overstreet) Vanwinkle and husband, Nathan of Neosho, Missouri; Maternal Grandparents, Deanna and Dan Brown of Baldwin City, Kansas, James and Gloria Browning of Rogers, Arkansas; Paternal Grandparents, Leila Ames of Pineville, Missouri, Robert and Roberta Overstreet of Anderson, Missouri; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Josiah.

Funeral Service

Saturday June 26, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Walker-Dowd Funeral Home Chapel in Anderson, Missouri

Burial will follow service at the Pineville Cemetery in Pineville, Missouri.
