Biography

Evelyn Dorene Jansen, age 69, of Anderson, Missouri was called to heaven with her loving family by her side on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at her residence.

Dorene was born in Goodman, Missouri on December 27, 1940 to the late Ralph and Nellie (Huffman) Reardon. She lived most of her life in Anderson, Missouri. Dorene married the love of her life, Fred Jansen on July 27, 1984 in Neosho, Missouri. She owned and operated several businesses, Spiva Realty in Neosho, Missouri, D Jansen’s Bookkeeping/Income Tax Service, DJ’s Clothesline in Anderson, Missouri and Jansen’s Video in Tawakoni, Texas. Dorene enjoyed gardening, quilting and spending time outdoors. She enjoyed traveling and spent the winter months in the RV with her husband. Her most cherished time however was reserved for family gatherings, like the annual 4th of July Pig Roast and her new great grandchildren she called “the lights of her life”. Dorene was a member of the Buffalo Creek Baptist Church in Tiff City, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Joe Reardon and a sister, Cheryl Reardon.

Dorene is survived by her husband, Fred of the home; a son, Randy Richardson and wife, Jeannie of Seneca, Missouri; a daughter, Rosie Peck and husband, Keith of Anderson, Missouri; a stepson, Mike Jansen and wife, Dena of Springdale, Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Sharon Netherton and husband, Mike of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Bud Reardon and wife, Evelyn of Goodman, Missouri, Jack Reardon and wife, Ona Mae of Lanagan, Missouri; two sisters, Colleen Haddock and husband, Ed of Neosho, Missouri, Carolyn Norris and husband, Dave of Neosho, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Kasey O’Brien and husband, Jared, Holly Patterson and husband, John, Cameron Netherton, Brandon Jansen, Zack Peck, Lindsay Jansen, Nicole Netherton, Haley Netherton, Kindra Harvey and husband, Charlie, Nick Peck; four great grandchildren, Dakota O’Brien, Peyton Patterson, Karys Harvey & Rylee Patterson; along with many other family, friends and neighbors who will dearly miss Dorene.
